What is meditating?
Marion G, Romney (1897-1988) remind us that the dictionary says that to meditate means to apply thought with deep attention to the considerating something
From this definition we can distinguish at least three elements:
The subject: who applies the thought
the means or instrument: thought
and the object: something to consider
From the theoretical principle held by Marion G. Romney and from the deductions I infer from my interpretation there are two... that call my attention with power and are the following:
The subject is our Spirit and the object's at your choice
One of the fundamental questions when recognizing the desire or the duty or both to meditate is ... What am I going to meditate? and... how do I choose a meditation object?
I feel that in these questions there is still an attempt to escape the illegal appropriation of the world of things to use them for purposes that have nothing to do with their nature.
but How to discern between the accumulated knowledge of centuries where myth is equally intermingledwith truth? the answer is inside us and in the truth itself and nowhere else.
